Eligibility Criteria: –
1. Finance:
>General areas: 20% promoter contribution, 20% term loan, and net worth equal to 1.5 times the grant-in-aid sought.
>Difficult areas/SC/ST/FPOs/SHG: 10% promoter contribution, 10% term loan, and net worth equal to grant-in-aid sought.
2. Land: Own land or lease land for a period of 15 years.
3. Evaluation score: Minimum 60 marks for general category and 45 marks for SC/ST category.
4. Date of commercial operation: After receiving approval letter from the Ministry.
Subsidy: –
>General areas: 35% of eligible project cost, maximum of ₹10 crore.
>Difficult areas/SC/ST/FPOs/SHG: 50% of eligible project cost, maximum of ₹10 crore.
Pattern of Assistance: –
>New P&M and technical civil works: 35% of eligible project cost for general areas and 50% for difficult areas/SC/ST/FPOs/SHG.
Eligible Components: –
1. Farm level infrastructure (FLI)
2. Processing centre
3. Distribution hub
4. Refrigerated vans/trucks/insulated vans/mobile insulated tankers
5. Irradiation facility
Implementation Period: –
>Within 24 months from the date of approval letter.
Instalments:
1. First instalment: After confirming expenditure of 33.33% of eligible project cost, within 8 months from the date of issue of approval letter.
2. Second instalment: After confirming expenditure of 66.66% of eligible project cost, within 16 months from the date of issue of approval letter.
3. Third instalment: After confirming expenditure of 100% of eligible project cost, within 24 months from the date of issue of approval letter.
Refundable Bank Guarantee (RBG): –
>5% of grant-in-aid within 30 days of issue of approval letter.
>Validity period: 18 months from the date of approval letter plus 60 days.
Non-refundable Demand Draft (DD): –
>₹20,000 for general category and ₹15,000 for SC/ST category.
>The Integrated Cold Chain (ICC) is a scheme sponsored by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) to provide integrated cold chain infrastructure facilities for non-horticulture produce, dairy, meat, poultry, and marine/fish products. The scheme aims to reduce post-harvest losses and ensure year-round availability of food products to consumers.
Note = The scheme is open to new units only, with no provision for expansion or upgradation of existing facilities. The last date to apply is within 45 days from the date of EoI.
